In Memory of Shirley Santoro

Our longtime audience members will surely remember Shirley Santoro, who served as concert master for well over forty years. She and her husband Michael retired from the orchestra several years ago, but remained strong supporters and have attended many of our concerts.
When Shirley and Michael retired from the orchestra, they established the Santoro Music Fund dedicated to supporting the rental and purchase of music parts for the orchestra. With that in mind, should you be moved to honor Shirley’s memory, contributing to the orchestra with a designation to the Santoro Music Fund would be a perfect way to do so, but there are other ways in which you can contribute. As a non-profit organization, our needs are many. Each member contributes to the organization by paying annual dues, we pay for venue rental for concerts and rehearsals, we have a small paid staff who help us with administrative needs and orchestra preparation. We occasionally rent equipment and pay for instrument tuning and moving. Printing, on-line presence, live-streaming, music licensing and rental, and music purchase are all part of our organizational budget. By contributing to our cause you will be helping to bring great music to our community at no cost, and you will be our heros.
